Assembly & Operation
Out of Box: Ready to race once wheels are on and battery charged (min 2 hrs).
Charging: USB charger via onboard plug. Allow 30 mins cool-down after charge. Unplug after green light. Store fully charged. (We use countdown timers like eBay item 386419780550.)
Crash Durability: Minor crashes cause little damage. Example: 20 MPH tree impact = under $20 in parts.
Fuel Mix: 25:1 gas-to-oil. Fill oil to 25:1 mark, then gas. We use Evinrude Johnson Outboard 2-Stroke Oil to reduce carbon and plug fouling.
Radio: 6CH but only 2 used. Trim adjustments under rear cover—Top L: steering trim, Top R: throttle/brake, Bottom L: control limits.
Starting Instructions
Power on car and radio.
Set choke (red lever on carb) to vertical closed.
Press primer bulb 3–4 times until fuel visible.
Pull starter gently to engage, then short fast pulls.
When engine fires (1–3 pulls), open choke and restart (1–2 pulls).
Engine Break-In
Run 1: Idle to ¼ throttle, 5 min, cool completely.
Run 2: Repeat for 10 min, cool.
Run 3: Moderate throttle, 8–10 min, cool.
Runs 4–5: Increase speed but monitor temp.
Final: Full throttle, one full tank.
After Break-In: Tighten exhaust.
Before each run, check all bolts. Use Loctite on clutch/brake bolts. Clean threads with alcohol and Q-tip for best hold.
Notes on Upgrades
Avoid replacing plastic with aluminum. Aluminum bends or cracks and transfers damage. High-strength ABS flexes and rebounds, often more durable for impact points.
